About
What does BASH Consulting do?
BASH Consulting helps small and medium-sized businesses in the Denver area adopt the same enterprise technology — cloud infrastructure, ERP, and accounting systems — that used to be reserved for large corporations. We focus on practical, cost-effective architecture: Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Software as a Service (SaaS) sized for a smaller budget and a smaller team, with no large up-front capital investment.
Good decisions depend on good data. We design cost-effective IT architecture that spans the everyday back-office tools businesses already run (Excel, Access, Outlook) and the enterprise systems they grow into — ERP, CRM, asset management, and performance management. With more than a decade in finance and accounting information systems, we build systems that produce clear, accurate financial results you can run the business on.

Amr
Solution Architect
Amr started BASH Consulting to bring the practices he used inside large manufacturers to the small businesses that rarely get access to them. The systems that run a company — finance, inventory, reporting — can make or break it, and the jargon around them keeps many owners from making confident choices. After more than a decade implementing enterprise IT and financial systems, Amr's approach is straightforward: explain the options in plain terms, give your team the tools and training to run them, and deliver IT that helps a small business grow.
Amr resides in Denver, Colorado and holds a BS in Finance from Northern Illinois University and an MS in Information Systems from the University of Colorado Denver.
Outside the office, Amr spends his time enjoying all the great things Colorado has to offer such as biking, hiking, camping, climbing, and running. He is an advocate of workers' rights and consumer protections, and a strong supporter of small businesses.
Cloud Architecture
The ubiquitous "Cloud" world that we're experiencing has set a new norm for computing but left many businesses unsure about how to transition their operations. While cloud computing is not new, it requires massive data centers that were previously only available to tech giants. These days, using cloud technologies is the new standard, and resources are available to meet a business's needs without any large capital investments.

AI Solutions & Intelligent Automation
True to our name—Bourne Again Solutions Hero—we overlay artificial intelligence on the proven foundation of command-line automation and scripting. AI is not a replacement for the deterministic, auditable systems that run your business; it is a layer on top of them. We use that layer to make automation faster to build and easier to drive, while keeping the foundation reliable enough for compliance-critical work. Prompts are the new command line, and we make sure the machine underneath stays trustworthy enough to ship.

ERP Consulting
For larger organizations where those 3 letters "E-R-P" give you the chills, fear no more. We have extensive experience and understanding of these behemoth applications and can assist in the rigorous quest to harmonize the system. Our team has been through many of these journeys, implementing various systems (QAD, Infor, Oracle, etc.), in both technical and functional areas, primarily in the manufacturing industry.
- QAD Enterprise Edition versions 2014, 2016, 2018
- Mfg/Pro versions eB2, Eb2.1

Accounting Information Systems
Every organization needs a strong financial backbone that supports both sustainability and feasibility. A well designed/robust accounting system is essential to this goal. Thanks to Enron, the accounting/finance warriors among us need to build failsafe mechanisms or suffer the wrath of those nosey auditors. Achieving compliance is not a "one size fits all" solution and depends on the industry and accounting methods. As we further progress toward a global standard, enterprise wide financial systems will be crucial to meet compliance and translate financial information effectively and accurately

What is BASH Consulting?
Plain-language definitions of the terms and services we work with. Getting these foundations right is essential, because the wrong architecture can significantly raise cost and slow a small business down.
- BASH
- BASH refers to Bourne Again Solutions — a Denver-based IT consulting practice that helps small and medium-sized businesses adopt enterprise-grade technology cost-effectively.
- Cloud Architecture
- Cloud architecture refers to the design and implementation of computing infrastructure on shared, on-demand data centers (AWS, GCP, Azure) instead of buying and maintaining your own hardware — giving small businesses enterprise capacity with no large up-front capital investment.
- IaaS & SaaS
- Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) refers to renting the underlying servers, storage, and networking on demand. Software as a Service (SaaS) means that ready-to-use applications are delivered over the internet. We help businesses move from owned hardware to both models.
- ERP
- An Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system is defined as the central software that runs a company's core operations — finance, inventory, manufacturing, and supply chain — in one integrated platform. We implement and support systems such as QAD, Infor, and Oracle.
- AIS
- An Accounting Information System (AIS) refers to the financial backbone that records, processes, and reports a business's transactions. We design, integrate, and support these systems — from QuickBooks to enterprise data warehouses and Excel financial models.
How does it work?
A straightforward, four-step engagement designed to fit how small businesses operate.
- Step 1 — Discovery consultation. We start with a free conversation to understand your business, current systems, and goals — no jargon, no obligation.
- Step 2 — Assessment & architecture. We map your existing tools and design a cost-effective solution, whether that's a cloud migration, an ERP rollout, or an upgraded accounting system.
- Step 3 — Implementation & integration. We build, configure, and integrate the solution — connecting cloud infrastructure, applications, and accounting systems so your data flows in one place.
- Step 4 — Training & support. We train your team and provide ongoing support, transferring the knowledge so your people can run and grow the system themselves.
Before your first call, it helps to have a few things ready:
- A short description of your current systems — cloud, ERP, accounting, or spreadsheets.
- The one or two problems that matter most to you right now.
- Any compliance or reporting requirements you must meet.
- A rough sense of timeline and who on your team will be involved.
Every engagement follows the same three principles — preparing well up front significantly improves the outcome:
- Empower — we give your team the right tools for the job.
- Educate — we transfer the knowledge and skills to use them.
- Engage — we stay involved so the solution actually sticks.
